Hi all, I would like to share our experience with 3.6 regarding this new functionality of Hard Due Date: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=5548 Please let me know if I need to put this comment elsewhere..
I would like to see with you what kind of workaround I can use :-) Basically, globalduedate and ceilingduedate has been removed and automatically fill the circ. rule instead. Look's great at first but, our libraries are all "school type" and we were modifying the ceilingdue at least 3 times each year. We we putting the "End of session" as the max return date. You also need to know that most of the libraries have a lot for circ. rule. ( From 50 to up to 200 ). In the current state, we need to ask our librarians to manually update all the rules each time they want to specify a new ceiling due date. We can't only modify circ. rule so we need to redo them from scratch... So you can now see that this new feature is a big regression for us. Maybe not a regression, but error prone / time consuming problem. Is there any way to batch update an entire set of circ. rule to a new Hard due date ? Any other idea you can share to help us ? Thanks, Anthony
