Even when you only have one copy. If you have more than one copy, you will have more than one item record (952) attached to the bibliographic record. There's a useful table here that explains what goes where, and the related authorized values, etc. http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Holdings_data_fields_(9xx) > > Please advise me, how to generate one marc record for multiple copies of > the > same book with different barcode numbers. > > I *think* what we do in our conversion process is generate multiple 952 fields in a given MARC record, one for each copy. In our pre-conversion database, all the specific location is tagged with the appropriate barcode number. The real work is all down to the digital wizardry of my colleague, I'm the librarian half of the team. I can ask him if you need further assistance. But we're not using a spreadsheet as the source of the original data, so the actual method may vary in your case. -- Elaine Bradtke Data Wrangler VWML English Folk Dance and Song Society | http://www.efdss.org Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Road, London NW1 7AY Tel +44 (0) 20 7485 2206 (This number is for the English Folk Dance and Song Society in London, England.
