I would expect something closer to:

Of course, all those 0's bug me too, but I'm assuming you are just putting
some sort of placeholder there.
And if you had multiple items:
\\ 952$a 0 0$b 0 0$i 0 0$o 0 0$p 0 0$l 0 0$z 0 0
\\ 952$a 0 0$b 0 0$i 0 0$o 0 0$p 0 0$l 0 0$z 0 0
\\ 952$a 0 0$b 0 0$i 0 0$o 0 0$p 0 0$l 0 0$z 0 0
