Hello,
Could you tell us which MARC subfield is mapped to items.barcode?
If you dont know :
* Go to "Administration > Koha to MARC mapping".
* Select "item" in the dropdown menu.
* Click OK
* Check the line for the barcode

There is no bug in 3.14 which prevents searching by barcode. Nor is
there a bug which prevents the barcode from being saved to the items
table, which you seem to be telling us is the case.
It sounds like your Koha installation has been set up in such a way
that barcode isn't being saved correctly. If there is no barcode to be
searched, then of course searching by barcode will fail.
Did you change the Koha to MARC mapping somehow?
