Hello Arslan, I've just upgraded to Koha 3.18 (Debian 7, packages install) and Patron searching is working well.
As the result table is loaded via ajax, did you try to look in your browser developer tools, if there is some javascript error? Is it possible, that you have some user javascript in your staff client which can make this problem??
