I recall that there is a system parameter that handles what is supposed to 
happen when you get no results. I think this would be useful to trigger calling 
an external API for help with the spelling. Here in Sweden our national library 
run such an API based on the records in the national bibliography. Such a 
solution would be helpful even if you dont get suggestions based on your own 
records.

This feature does not exist in Koha. The closest thing Koha has is the
"Did you mean?" feature, which only returns results from authority
