Hi Jonathan, what version of Koha did you install, what instructions and what installation method (Debian packages, tarball…) did you use?
If you did a package installation, you will find Koha log files in /var/log/koha/<instancename>/ (in your case that would be /var/log/koha/lib/). You should probably check MySQL log files too.
