A few comments on Zeno's comments:

The system itself needs to be installed on a Linux server, but the catalog and 
staff interfaces are browser-based, so you can use Windows or any other OS. 
Unlike the system we migrated from, there isn't separate staff software that 
has to be installed on staff computers.

As someone (sorry--I can't remember who) said, anything is possible in Koha if 
you're willing to pay for it. Koha is user-driven, and anything contributed 
becomes part of the general release. If you want a feature, you can build it or 
hire someone to build it. All right, probably not ANYTHING, but pretty close.
