Search would be easy; you can create an HTML block with a form that searches Koha. We have a "common resources" block with links to various sites and a search box for our discovery layer. It's included in all courses using a template plugin. Placing reserves or viewing checkout status is much more complicated, because it requires authentication. This could be done using Koha APIs but it would be a decent amount of development work.
