Hi. What you are describing is the normal behavour when setting permissions: 1. Select "Checkout and check in items (circulate)" 2. All the sub-permissions are selected 3. Remove a sub-permission, for example, "Manage item bookings (manage_bookings)" 4. The "Checkout and check in items (circulate)" is now not selected, but all the sub-permissions (apart from manage_bookings) are selected 5. Subject to other permissions (such as Add, modify and view patron information (borrowers)) the patron can check in and check out items (for example)
