Koha is a fantastic ILS. We love it! Many of us that have made the move to Koha
from another ILS would probably say we would never look back. But even the best
systems have issues. Usually it can be chalked up to new features going through
the gauntlet of frontline use and being tried out in real world situations. As
much as developers try, they can't always account for every single variable,
especially when they are developing in an isolated environment. It is up to
those of us on the business end of things to give feedback to those developers.
Sometimes we give feedback to let them know what an awesome job they are doing,
and how we love the changes. And sometimes it is to let them know that things
aren't quite right. Today we talk about a cataloging permission that isn't
quite right. It works. It does the job. I (Christopher) was excited that the
permission existed. It does exactly what I need it to do. Could the
implementation be better? Possibly. Join with us today in this episode and
judge for yourself. Constructive feedback is always welcome.
