New Palestinian group to join dialogue in Cairo

??GAZA, Dec. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- The Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF)one of
the Palestine Liberation Organization's factions, decided Wednesday to join
the Palestinian-Palestinian dialogue due to beginby early next week,
officials said.

??They said that the group that is based in Iraq and chaired by Mohamed
Abbas (Abu Al Abbas) received an invitation to join the sessions of dialogue
among PLO and Islamic factions that would be held in Cairo.

??Palestinian sources said that Mahmoud Abbas, better known as AbuMazen, the
secretary general of the PLO would chair the Fatah delegation. Fatah is the
biggest faction in the PLO chaired by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

??Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a top aide to Arafat said that Abu Mazen would lead
the Palestinian delegation and head to Cairo on Saturday.

??A Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) delegation led
by Nayef Hawatmeh, is currently in Cairo holding talks with Egyptian
officials to prepare for the Palestinian dialogue session.

??Also, Islamic resistance movement (Hamas) representatives are heading from
Syria to Cairo to participate in the dialogue that is sponsored and mediated
by Egypt aiming at reinforcing the Palestinian national unity.

??Hamas and Fatah leaders had met in Cairo about two months ago and agreed
to renew and widen their dialogue to include other PLO and Islamic groups
and parties.

??Islamic Jihad representatives had held talks with top Egyptian security
officials in Cairo last week, and they are intending also to attend the
dialogue that would start under the Egyptian mediation early next week.

??In the Palestinian territories, there are 13 different Islamic and
national groups and parties. Armed wings, in which its members are involved
in the fighting with Israel, are not included in the dialogue.

??Official sources which asked not to be identified said that the parties
and groups agreed in principle on arranging the Palestinianintifada
(uprising), and ending militarizing it, which means reducing the use of guns
and arms, and turns it to be a popular intifada.
