Hail Bush!
Back in power, Bush now claims popular legitimacy and support for all the
madness his crew unleashes next. Bush and his gang have become the spearhead
and symbol for a crusade to impose tighter US domination over the whole world.
This is a sweeping operation of war, threats and covert operations that is the
literally remaking the international order by force. Meanwhile, within the US
long standing legal rights of trail, privacy, and protection from profiling and
surveillance are being torn away, and replaced by the raw logic of a growing
police state. There is a plan to literally establish permanent rightwing
control over the US state cementing the supreme court, the congress, the
presidency and the military corps for a generation .And now that Bush has
returned to power, the people of the world don�t just face �more of the same�
but instead we face new and dangerous leaps, from a gang that believes no one
and nothing must stand in the way of US global domination.
It is vital to stop and think deeply over this: in their hateful and repulsive
way, men like Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld dare to remake the world to reshape
international politics and economics in their interests, to enforce a
transformation of the whole Middle East at the point of their guns and
missiles. And the people of the world too, in our billions, have to dare to
think about resisting and defeating the Bush�s program in particular the whole
war program, the whole juggernaut of war and repression.
There is a profound truth in connection with the imperialist�s insistence that
we are with them or against them. The profound thing of importance for our side
lies in inverting this. We need to popularise broadly among the people of the
world that these imperialists have arrogated to themselves the power to attack
anybody and everybody that they say deserves to be attacked and to repress
anybody and everybody that they say deserves to be repressed. We can turn on
its head Bush�s statement that �you are with us or against us�. We need to
bring out this profound truth if we don�t join in building resistance to what
they are doing, we will be swept along with the empire, whether we want to be
or not, and we may also be crushed by the empire. It is not enough to be
critical. It is not enough to be passively against what they are doing. If we
don�t stand up against it, we will be swept along with it, and quite possibly
crushed by it.
We are called on to rise to the challenges that are posed with both a sense of
real urgency and with a broad view. What the imperialists are already doing and
what they are clearly indicating they are planning on doing both in terms of
war and in terms of repression must not only be questioned, give rise to the
expression of concerns, be criticised or just opposed. We need an orientation
of actively resisting and stopping this monster through the mobilisation of
millions of people everywhere. There is no other way. It is impossible not to
get an even more sober and urgent sense of the need for creative, massive
organised and clear-sighted resistance to every thing that US imperialism
represents. Right now we need to stand up and support Falluja!
