Dear friend,

With the re-election of Bush and the U.S. military assault on Falluja,
progressive people need to put their heads together and figure out how
to move the struggle forward. There's a way to do that: at the
National Fightback Conference in New York on Nov. 13-14, sponsored by
Workers World Party.

The conference will be held at a public school in Manhattan at 281 9th
Ave. & West 27 St. The conference is scheduled for Sat., Nov. 13, 10
am-7 pm and for Sun., Nov. 14, 11 am - 3:30 pm. Registration starts at
9 am on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday.

A lot of concerned people invested time and effort in the Kerry
campaign, including many who weren't that inspired by the
Massachusetts millionaire but desperately wanted to stop Bush. They're
feeling very let down right now. Others saw this election as just
another effort to divert the independent struggle movements that have
been taking on war, racism and poverty.

No matter who you are, come to the conference and participate in a
serious discussion of where to go from here. Millions of people in the
U.S. are facing the same issues, from the war against workers'
pensions and health care, a war on youth, a war on Section 8 tenants,
a war on gay and lesbian couples, a war to suppress civil rights and
liberties, and a stunningly vicious war on ordinary people who happen
to live in Iraq, where the oil is.

So let's talk about strategies. There is stirring in the working class
now, organized and unorganized. This is the class that has the social
weight to seriously challenge the rotting capitalist system. What's
needed is a clear program and the will to carry it out.

National Youth Organizing Meeting. A special feature of the conference
will be the first national youth organizing meeting of FIST--Fight
Imperialism, Stand Together. It will take up: fighting military
recruiting and the draft, youth in the struggle against racism and
repression, and much more. For information about this meeting, write

*****************************************

Dear activists and progressive youth,

    F.I.S.T. - Fight Imperialism, Stand Together -
cordially invites you to attend our first National
Youth Organizing Meeting in New York City, Nov. 13th,
6:30pm.

F.I.S.T. is an organization for young activists
who are fighting to defeat capitalism and the war,
racism, and misery that it causes. F.I.S.T. activists
are engaged in struggles throughout the country to
stop the war in Iraq, kick military recruiters off
campuses, fight racist attacks on students, and stand
up for lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender youth. We
united with youth from all around the country to stand
up to the cops during the Republican National
Convention and to demand our right to take to the
streets. We united with workers for the Million
Worker March to say that youth have a right to jobs,
education, and healthcare, too.

Many youth are fearful right now of what four
more years of the right-wing Bush administration will
bring. At the very least, we know that more youth
will be forced to kill and die in an unjust war and
more youth at home will get jail instead of jobs and
education.

But F.I.S.T. activists also see this as an
opportunity to unite all of the young forces that have
been fighting against the Bush regime in an effort to
move the struggle forward. We call on all progressive
youth to join our meeting to discuss what we can do to
build a strong youth movement to defeat this brutal
system once and for all.

Among the topics we will discuss are:

- How youth can fight military recruiters and the
draft.

- Fighting back against racism, sexism, and lgbt
oppression.

- Building revolutionary consciousness amongst youth.

We will also be discussing some of our upcoming
actions,including:

- Dec. 3-11 National Stop the War Week - including
student walkouts on Dec. 3rd and a youth Resistance to
the Draft Conference on Dec. 4th.

- Jan 20th Counter-Inaugural Demonstration,
Washington, D.C. - Join the F.I.S.T. contingent to
confront Bush!

The meeting will coincide with the National Fightback
Conference sponsored by Workers World Party which is
taking place Sat., Nov. 13th through Sun., Nov. 14th.

The F.I.S.T. meeting and the Fightback Conference will
take place at the Chelsea Auditorium, 281 9th Ave. and
W. 27th St.

For more information about the conference, including
housing, go to www.workers.org or call 212-627-2994.

Hope to see you there!
