Palestinian medical sources told reporters that five Palestinian workers were injured, one of them critically. The incident took place today morning when a group of armed Israeli settlers near Bani Nušeim town, east of Hebron, ambushed the targeted car. The victims, who are residents of the town of Yatta, were on their way to work in Hebron City. The five victims are 34 year-old Mohamed Al-Juboor, 45 year-olds Mohamed Al-Najar and Ismaeil Al-Juboor, as well as 50year-old Mohamed Al-Hindy. The fifth victim, 45 year-old Younes Al-Najar suffers from severe head wounds and is in critical condition. Palestinian medical sources informed the Palestine Media Center (PMC) that Israeli occupation soldiers did not allow the Palestinian paramedics to treat the injured and take them to hospital. Consequently, the driver of the car in question was forced to drive through rugged mountain roads to reach Hebron City. The Director of Public Relations Department in Al-Ahli hospital, Mr. Basem Al-Natsheh, told the PMC that the victims were treated from several injuries. He stated, łIt took the patients a long time before they were able to reach the hospital, which increased their suffering.˛ This is not the first attack committed by Israeli settlers. On 21 October, a group of armed Israeli settlers raided Al-Kayyal mosque in the Old City of Hebron. Israeli settlers, who were protected and accompanied by Israeli occupation forces, vandalized the mosque and destroyed its library. At least one known Jewish terrorist cells are operating in the West Bank and carried out terror attacks against Palestinians in the Ramallah-Nablus road and in the Hebron area. Six Palestinians were killed and about 20 were injured in seven separate past attacks during the past year.
