18/2002 Consulting Implementation Partner for Project IRIS � ILO Oracle R11i
ERP System The International Labour Organisation invites all parties
interested in providing consultancy services for the implementation of an
organization wide Enterprise and Resource Planning System to express their
interest in participating in a competitive bidding process. The
implementation of Project IRIS will be conducted from November 2002 through
the end of 2004. Expected phased rollout will take place during 2004 and
will concern the ILO HQ in Geneva and field offices in approximate 50 sites
worldwide. An overview of the project and the ILO may be downloaded from
Project IRIS Overview (Word) Project IRIS Overview (Acrobat) The project
comprises the following tasks: a. Work with the ILO in defining the business
scope of the organisation and identifying the appropriate modules in the
platform. b. Assist the ILO project team in defining specifications for
customer specific programming to be carried out by Oracle. c. Assist the ILO
in configuration of the respective platform modules. d. Work with the ILO in
carrying out testing of all aspects of the system implementation. e.
Contribute to the preparation of user documentation. f. Contribute to the
change management efforts associated with project implementation. g. Assist
the ILO in setting programmes and carrying out training of ILO users.
Selection of the implementing partner will take place in a two-tier process.
The pre-selection to a final short list will be based on responses to a
pre-qualifying questionnaire, references of past work and experience with
the Oracle Application platform and public sector implementations,
reputation, and past financial performance. The questionnaire may be
downloaded from Selection Questionnaire (Word) Selection Questionnaire
(Acrobat) If for some reason these cannot be accessed, please send an email,
fax or letter to the address below and a file in Acrobat and/or MS Word
format will be sent by return email. The ILO will also fax the document if
requested. Prospective companies/consultants who are interested in
submitting a proposal for this project, are requested at this stage to
indicate their interest formally by writing along with the questionnaire to:

Companies/consultants are requested to submit their expression of interest
and completed questionnaire prior to 10:00 hrs, Geneva time (GMT+2:00), 24
September 2002. In response to the formal expression of interest, if
selected, companies/consultants will receive a request to tender during the
week of 23-27 September 2002. Please note that the ILO does note provide
