Hi Steffan, if you are using Kopete from KDE 3.5, it is possible for MSN. The experimental dev-0.12 branch has probably many bugfixes (and I am using that version). I haven't tested the Yahoo support for it, but sure other developers can tell you about it.
About webcams, I have a logitech, and works fine if you manually compile spca5xx module available on the net. I would not recommend the camera though, as the image is not very good. I wish you luck. Probably other developers will point you to their experiences with their webcams.
