Today I checked the old version (0.10.2) along with the patch for the chat
window. This works just ok (I also tried to patch the new version, but then
there are problems with outgoing messages in my chat window).
So, actually something in the recoding solution was changed when moving the
menu to select encodings from the chat window to the context menu of a contact,
since the former works for me ok, the latter doesn't work.
