I've worked on it today.
I've made ome test with the ejabberd's irc gateway.
It was not working due to a small problem in the group chat handling that i
have fixed.
Please retry. and re-open if it still doesn't work.
Note: i noticed severe encoding problem. but thoses are caused by a problem in
the gateway itself. (in order to work around them you need to register to the
gateway and select the correct encoding, but that's not possible with kopete)
