Just to be sure we get our facts right:

I'm not sure this is correct. The digikam website (digikam.org)
mentions nothing to this effect. Perhaps you're talking about
erstwhile Kimdaba (http://ktown.kde.org/kphotoalbum/)

Xorg is a *fork*, not simply a rename. Since Xorg is not the same as
XFree86, it is no surprise that they don't have the same name.

I'm not trying to dampen the name-changing-spirit here, I'm all for
it! I'm just trying to make sure we're not inspired by fiction.

I think everyone will scream that Kopete devs/users couldn't come up
with anything better :-)

I, for one, would actually drop the "K". Its just too obvious.
Embarassingly enough, I can't think of anything better. So I'll shut
