Hi!
In my case, I had logged in before manually from Konqueror.
Later, when I tried opening mailbox from Kopete context menu, the loop began.
After cleaning up all the cookies from Konqueror and trying again, the logging
succeeded.
I don't have FreeBSD, but I suppose this fix also applies to it.
Try it, if it doesn't work, feel free to comment again and I'll reopen the bug.
