zvonSully and Nabil: Have you tried what Matt said in Comment #1? It is
crucial for us to know which plugin causes the heavy-IO.
zuvonSully: I doubt that Kopete writes much data on changing tabs! So caching
will not make /any/ difference. In Bug #110318 you write that many other KDE
applications are affected. Especially the creation of some small temporary and
lock files seems to be a problem for some systems. But if it is a KHTML bug, as
you suspect, how the Kopete Developers should solve it?
Nabil: The statistics plugin indeed uses a DB to store its data (sqlite).
