Thanks for your mail :-) I'd be happy to be a 'mentor' and help a student. And I would even be also interested to participle as student :-P > * implementing missing protocols (QQ for example?) eh, this is already a summer of code project :-) > * modifying Kopete so that it's possible to extract an easily reusable > dynamic library from its source code by building a make (whatever the build > system is) target (kind of producing a gaim SDK). There are also ideas made for the google summer of code wiki http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=KDE%20Google%20SoC%202006%20ideas#id471017 > If you interested in participating in such a program, please write your > subject ideas in response to this thread, and say if you'd like to be the > mentor for this subject or mention someone else that would likely sucess in > mentoring the student working on the given subject. If I am eligible, and since I'm involved in the Jabber protocol, I would do general improvements in the Jabber protocol. That would include MUC, pubsub, voice, video. More generally, be compliant with XMPP, and the support of JEP-0119 and JEP-0117 Thanks -- Olivier
