It would be nice if kopete had a GUI-less part that runs in the background,
receiving and remembering possible messages, and a separate client (GUI and
maybe an additional console version) to view and compose messages. The
advantage of this approach is that, like for example a "screen" session, you
can (re-)attach and detach the client to/from the server, from different
X-sessions or terminal sessions.
