Well, I follow the procedure described in the "SVN Access" section of
kopete.kde.org.
svn co -N svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/kdenetwork
cd kdenetwork
svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/kde-common/admin
svn up kopete
... etc.
That's what I call HEAD.
