Summary: Don't group consecutive incoming messages if the
timespan between messages are long
Product: kopete
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
ReportedBy: kozz pegasos org
Version: 0.12.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc-4.1 PowerPC
OS: Linux
Every now and then I'm away from the computer for a while and it sometimes
happens that someone messages but maybe with a timespan of about some hour
between the messages. Unfortunately with grouping of consecutive messages only
the time stamp of the first message is shown. It would be nice to be able to
see the time if it was a long time between to incoming messages. One solution
could be to not group consecutive messages if the time between the last message
and the new incoming is more than say 30 min.
An other option could be to show the time for each incoming message, but I
don't think that is such a good idea. I don't know, maybe displaying the time
for a message if one hover with the mouse above it?
Not sure which solution is the best, if anyone has a better idea I would be
happy to hear it. But anyway, would be nice to see the time for messages if the
time difference is big between them.
