Ok user but not much for debuging yet under linux
I recently installed Fedora 6 base install I believe the crashing started after
I upgraded a few packages the current system is 2.6.18.2869 kernel with two
athalon mp processors and 3 Gig ram
I have up gaded every thing but kernel beyond the 2.6.18.2869 version and KDE
components I tried updating kde to 3.5.5 but things only got worse with other
kde components like konqueror loking up as well. I currently have dorped bck
to kde 3.5.4 with kopete from kdenetwork package
Kopete starts find and I send a single message but any time I try to start a
chat or if some once messages me thenand I reply in the chat window Kopete
crashes and i have to kill it, when the crash occurs the message from the chat
window is neve sent, in addition just the act of requesting to start a chat is
som times enough to crash kopete, I have the Ichat stye chat windows enables if
that makes a difference. I am willing to run what ever test are nedded just
not shure where to start.
