I find it quite hard to follow your report but maybe we can figure it out.
As far as i understand, you have data in your Yahoo Addressbook which is not
shown in kopete. (see http://address.yahoo.com) Is that correct?
Could you please paste the
YABLastMerge=
YABLastRemoteRevision=
lines of your ~/.kde/share/config/kopeterc ?
