Hi,

Is there an interest to make kopete compile on win32? Afaics only the
export definitions need to be adjusted and a few minor changes need to
be done.

Yes, please make it compile. I've seen you've already made some commits
regarding this. Thanks!
Yes, I already checked some things in which were independendly from the
rest. Currently there are three problems:

- you've several foo_export.h headers and I don't know where to put the
new ones to (currently used kopete_export.h)
- libiris does not compile on win32, but the author from psi/libiris
said current cvs version will compile on win32 -> need to update libiris
once I checked this
- your liboscar uses the win32 types BYTE, WORD and DWORD and therefore
I have to add Oscar:: everywhere those types are used (already done, but
not checked in) - but imo it would be better to use quint8/16/32 instead

Kopete main app already started withut crashing, but no plugins could be
loaded :)

Can you send me the compiled version, when it's done? I am not experienced with win32 programming (actually, I know nothing), but I am extremely experienced with software testing :)

I think it's some weeks to early to do end user tests, there are a lot of open issues which need to be fixed :) If you're interested in kdelibs/win32 development, join kde-windows mailing list and test our installer.
