I don't think that my opinion is important here, as I'm not a developer, but I'd like to say a few words on Glossyk.
I think it's a very neat design. I like the option of showing the avatars in a side bar and I don't mind the size. What really IS distracting from the conversation itself is the size of the nickname bar, especially if the participants use "one-liner". There are a lot of color presets, which is nice, but it would be nice if you could make the bars more unobtrusive. Maybe you could also increase the vertical gap between the messages by a few pixels. I agree with having a more eye-candy default theme for kde 4. Other themes, which are less flashy, should be included in the default install, as they are now. But I think it's true that Kopete need some kind of unique interface. kevin
