If there's anything I can do to help, I'd be happy to. My C/C++ is pretty rusty, but I can give it a shot; I'm a bit better with something like Python or possibly Perl. The idea I came up with was to have an option to toggle between setting status and message separately or be able to set predefined status/message combinations. I suppose you could allow both instead of having an option, but I'm not sure if that would make the interface too cluttered. I figured status/message combinations could be saved as an XML file in the kopete directory (~/.kde/share/apps/kopete I believe), but if this is part of the core there may be some other file/format that's more appropriate. I don't think there's a huge amount of room for creativity with the interface, just a menu/dropdown with a list of saved messages and an option to open a message editor window, which would just be the normal add/delete/edit type of control panel. I think that's about all that would be needed. Thanks a lot for your time.
