Summary: Centralized Blocked Contacts Management
Product: kopete
Version: unspecified
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
ReportedBy: erick.mattos gmail com
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux
It would be very handy if one could block (become invisible to) users by a
right click option on the contact.
Nowadays is up to each protocol to set up a contact as blocked, so someone
needs to set one by one the protocols of the contact it wants to block.
IMHO, I see it as a right click menu option which would launch a small dialog
showing the protocols checked by default with a confirmation button. Someone
could uncheck some protocols if he wants and this would be saved in a per user
manner.
Unblocking would work in the same manner but having opposite defaults.
Setting each protocol up would be made by Kopete every time you log on and the
contact is not correctly configured.
Another separate form could show contacts situation for querying and
configuration purposes.
This could be programed directly on the software itself or as a plugin.
Thanks to all the open source community for all the good softwares we are using.
Best regards
