OK, then wouldn't it be a solution to copy the image to
~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/contactphotos (or wehrever) and scale it down in
advance? This would also avoid the problem that if you (re)move the picture in
your normal picture folder that kopete still finds the picture?
What do you think?
