Hello,
I'm new to the list and new to (KDE) development. I have an idea,
actually inspired from a Pidgin plugin: to display the chat window
when the contact begins typing first message. So, while typing, you
already see that he wants to write something and write something first
:) It is quite useless, but people get impressed.
Like I said, I am quite new in this business, and by looking through
the websvn, I found something useful: in
libkopete/kopetechatsession.h/cpp, the function remotetyping. My idea
is: just like when you receive a message, kopete has to check (i
think) who sent it. I think it's scanning the contact list
periodically for a new message. The plugin could scan it the same way,
but display the chat windows when that contact starts writing!
What do you think of it? With a few hints, I could probably write the plugin.
Waiting for your comments!
Bye
Claudiu
