Summary: Kopete randomly and spontaneously forgets the location
and/or how to open perfectly good buddy icons
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: kde_bugzilla.zen.ssokolow spamgourmet com

Version: 0.12.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070214 ( (gdc 0.23, using dmd 1.007))
(Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.1)
OS: Linux

Sometimes, without warning, Kopete will tell me that my buddy icon is bad. I
forgot to save the exact text of the message, but it's one of those modal
protocol-specific popups akin to a javascript alert() (OK button and some text)
and once I click OK, it will continue on working properly as if nothing
happened.

Sometimes it can go weeks without complaining but, as I found when I woke up
today, it has the potential to recur dangerously frequently. Bug #150435
(Kopete freezing the X server by opening 452 dialogs during the 8 hours I was
asleep) was caused by these spurious "your buddy icon is bad" dialogs.
