When using Kopete with Yahoo messenger service, contact list nor chat window
show contact's picture, although my own picture DOES display to yahoo users on
the remote end. (This is a distinction from bug #146118). I recently got a
newer machine with a fresh Kubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) install. I had used Kubuntu
6.06 (Dapper) on the older machine and interestingly never had this problem on
the version of KDE/Kopete shipped with Dapper.
In Kopete's settings>appearance>chat window tab, the display theme is set to
"clear" (although I've tried the other graphic styles too), and in
settings>appearance>contact list tab, the "use contact photos when available"
is checked.
In meta contact properties under an individual contact, the Photo area (General
tab) is dimmed except for the Custom radio button.
The remote yahoo contacts have verified their contact photo is displayed to
other parties.
