I think personal insults towards the devs serves no one. It won't get *you*
what you want nor will it encourage the devs to continue developing this great
IM client. If you really don't like it then switch to another client that gives
you what you want. It was mention above that you can use different themes that
to give you exactly what you want.

Please do remember that a lot of people spend an enormous amount of their
(free)time to create this great piece of software and you really should honor
