Summary: kopete to use single message chat per default
           Product: kopete
           Version: 0.12.7
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: gerhard frappe xs4all nl

Version: 0.12.7 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

The one thing that kept me from staying with Kopete over Psi is the fact that
it forces me into chat mode.
I don't want to chat (have IRC for that whenever needed) I want to see a
message alert (systray), read, reply and get the window out of my face.
The same for clicking a contact, I would like it to default to "single message"
and not to chat.

The way ICQ and Psi do. All the other bells and wishles in kopete are fun and
some of them are quite useful, but as the most basic communication doesn't work
for me...

Anhow, the first part would be an option "send and close" to tie to the
enter/cntr-enter shortcut. The later, as the function is there already, would
be a swich to defaul the mouseclick to it.

Regretfully it doesn't seem the be possible to redefine the actions of
mouse-buttons in KDE (yet, or I missed it.. always possible..)

Thanks
