Hi,

I've seen a lot of mails to this list recently about people having
problems building the Kopete Telepathy protocol plugin. This plugin is
very old and quite broken. It uses an ancient version of the Telepathy
libraries (telepathy-qt and tapioca-qt from kdesupport) which are
deprecated and will be replaced by a new library soon (called
TelepathyQt4). A rewrite of the plugin is almost complete in a branch
here [1], but since this depends on the still API-unstable
telepathyQt4 library, I don't think its appropriate to move into trunk
just yet - at least not until the library API stabilises. In the
meantime, I'd like to propose we remove the telepathy protocol plugin
from trunk. Would anyone object to this?
