Thanks, Todd, encouraging words. I don't know what I'm after, really. There aren't many home automation projects that I would want that can't be handled by a simple on/off switch with a timer. When I finally build a MythTV box, I'll control that vital aspect of my life with ssh and cron. Woo Hoo! "Xena Warrior Princess" reruns![0] I'll probably get the book and read it evenings with my 9-yr-old. I'm trying to gently introduce him to the joy of geek, and maybe we'll stumble on some good father-son projects. [0] For those who might have missed it, the full (11 broadcast and 2 that never saw air) "Greg the Bunny" collection is out on DVD. We're watching about 3-4 episodes a night as a family and dying of laughter. -- Lan Barnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] Linux Guy, SCM Specialist 858-354-0616 -- KPLUG-List mailing list [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
