I would say that would protect you in most cases. Some loggers are just slipped in line between the computer and the keyboard. You could always open a random website, and cut and paste your passphrase into the dialog. This would be harder to track. Just grab something from the history. As far as higher tech toys G Men use, well they probably aren't looking into you if their stuff is hooked up to your friends computer. Not sure if that should give you any comfort or not.
