Hopefully not.  In _Hackers and Painters_ Paul Graham argued against
learning Lisp because it's "cool".  He cited ESR's discussion of Lisp
as a interesting toy, and rebutted that one should learn Lisp because
it's *useful*, and it provides real results.

Just a funny coincidence that you phrased your statement like you did.
