So long as you shut everything down and don't allow remote access
to your system.  SSH is /generally/ a good bet, but has been the
entry-point for exploits in the past.

Viruses and Trojans indicate a security problem in the user community.
Worms indicate a security problem in the technology.

Pointing out that your technology is better than some other user
community is... also cooking the numbers.

Note that rejecting claims that Linux is "fundamentally secure" does
not mean that a counter-claim is being made that Linux is "as bad as
some of the other systems".  Alternative poor designs don't improve
your design in any absolute sense.
