IBM was develooping a platform called the Workplace OS. The Workplace OS allowed a OS run multiple OS's such as AIX, OS/400, OS/2. The Workplace OS ran on Mach Kernel (ie OSF/1, developed at CMU (Carnegie Mellon University) )The project died due to objections from the AS/400 group. At the time Linux was not so prominent at the time so it's quite probable that Linux would have been supported. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tracy R Reed" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Subject: Has IBM really contributed that much to Linux?
