Obviously hjkl stand for heft, jown, kup and light.

Notice what ^H does to the cursor. And ^J.
(Old terminals used to have arrows printed on the front of the hjkl keys.)
Seriously, play a little -- pick a game that does hjkl for movement, and
play a bit. Play is the ultimate learning tool.
