Hi guys,

I am starting a remote consulting gig, working for a Norwegian
company that services a Floating Production Storage and Offtake
(FPSO) in the North Sea. The FPSO is basically a large specialized
ship that sits on top of an oil field and pumps out the petroleum.

One issue has arisen that I need some advice on.

There is a secure network (VPN) called SOIL, Secure Oil network,
a system using by the Norwegian oil companies for secure VPN
access to their networks. I can get a VPN client, appropriate
certs, etc. to gain access to this network. I don't think I have
any technical issues with how to do this.

I do have a physical security issue though. The companies are
understandably reluctant to have a guy they hardly know half
way around the world accessing their networks from his home.

I can resolve the "guy they hardly know part" during the next
year or so. I will however need to find a "micro-office" ideally
a box with a desk and computer, with controlled and electronically
monitored physical access and video logging.

Do any of you know of a n ISP/colocator offering such on a turnkey
basis, or allowing one to setup such in their colo. There is a
brand new SBC central station 50 yards from my house which
could be ideal. Have any of you dealt with SBC on this level.

Comments.

TIA,

boblq
