Anyone have experience with the HP3000?

Need to borrow an HP console monitor, one we had was an HP 2392A or HP
2394A.

System hung, accepted shutdown command from hyperterminal hooked to console
port, but now nothing.

Neither ^A nor ^B give us any prompt. Have even powered it off and back on,
boots thru 5, then B, then C which is steady for a while, then flashes.
According to a website article I found, that means it has a problem
communicating with the console (still the hyperterminal connection).

We don't know if that is because there's some special line that the console
line on the box needs to communicate to an HP dumb/serial terminal, or
because there's a problem with the system or ????

We'd just like to get it up and running to get some data off, since it's way
beyond any other support functions.

Possibility of payment too, but not much, it's for the City of Lemon Grove
(where my wife, Betty, works).

Any help, directions, urls, suggestions would be appreciated.
