If you are using KDE, try from the KDE menu,

  System Tools | Hardware Browser

The information can also be found in the KDE Control Center under Information in the Index tree.

Without looking, I suspect there are several apps to meet your needs to be found on http://freshmeat.net.

You may also be able to run your Windows app from Wine or Crossover Office.
