Presumably, a "DSL Alarm Filter" is the exact same damned thing as a "DSL 
Phone Splitter", but they charge more for it because you're plugging in an 
alarm monitoring system instead of a telephone.

After all, there is only one thing that you'd need to split off a copper 
pair carrying DSL, and that is POTS.
