  Thanks Carl, I had tried that a few hours after I posted.. and a few
other things. It looks like it's toast. I did find

running now but timing out on CRC errors. It might be done scanning in
a week or so. lol

  Anyone else know of any other data recovery tools I can try after
this one? I'm willing to go commercial up to about $200, I have a 2
week old backup but there was some stuff I put on that drive recently
I would like to recover.
